Living in Fredericksburg, TX the heart of Texas Wine Country allows us to rub elbows with several winery owners/operators. We’re blessed to have over 40 wineries close to us.
Interestingly, we’d wind up here especially since we’re part owners in a winery in Oregon. Several years ago, when we were full-time RVers we purchased preferred stock in Willamette Valley Vineyards kind of on a fluke. The nice thing about that is the owner’s discounts on wine offerings, free shipping, owners’ get-togethers, etc. We just found out that their regional sales manager, Mary Joli, is hosting a wine cruise with AmaWaterways in Burgundy and Provence this coming March.
Funny how things work. The other day Ilene and I watched a program called “A Year in Burgundy” where we learned about this amazing region and its signature wines. If I didn’t know better, I’d say someone was trying to tell us something.
